Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Looking for a reasonable atty to help me file bankruptcy (not sure Ch 7 or Ch 13), or how I can do it myself. Trying to save my house, but because been out of work for so long (finally working now but only 5 mos & making 60% less than before) & so far in debt because was living off of credit just to make ends meet. I'm scared, don't know where to turn. Have companies starting pre-legal because I'm so far behind in credit card pymts. Have tried to keep up some of them, but can't make the large monthly pymts they want to get caught up. HELP!! Looking for advice, not judgement & I'm scared.
