Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

rights of a non-filing co-signer

i was a co-signer on a credit card to someone who filed bankruptcy. This credit card was not included on her filing. I paid off this credit card. Credit Card company still reported derogatory on my credit report. Do they have the right to report the bankruptcy even after it was paid of and even if I did not file bankruptcy? What can I do to clear this derogatory?

Notify all three credit reporting companies by letter that you never filed BK. And further that the bill was paid timely.
