Doing Business As

if I dba my parent company

ex: youth tackle Inc. dba Inland Empire football. do I need to put the Parent company name on all my forms or will the DBA be enough. Will I be covered if i run into any legal issues down the road if I just use the dba.

Re: Doing Business As

For some more formal documents you may still want to use the main company name, but for most other documents, like regular day-to-day paperwork, you should be OK with using just the dba. That is kind of the point of the dba, to use the dba name instead of the parent company or individual owner's name. Since dba's are public record, the parent company is readily available, so I do not see a significant issue with your question.
