Legal Question in Business Law in California

Double-Sided Legal Document

I was curious as to whether legal documentation can be printed on both sides

of a legal page (duplexed)? For example, if I was to construct a contract with

a firm that I am to be performing work for, should the contract be single-

sided, or can it be duplexed? Does the same rule apply to all legal

documentation?

Thanks for your response.

Re: Double-Sided Legal Document

I know of no requirement that a contract be on only one side of a page. I suppose a one-sided document is a throwback to when they used to use carbon paper, and it would have been too messy to try to line things up if they were on both sides.

As for court documents, for the most part, they're required to be on one side, except for forms that are two-sided. Go figure.
