Re: Hijacked Church

The pastor's wife absent appointment as an officer or director has no rights to the Corporation. If the Corporation has members, the members should be able to appoint a new Board of Directors. If the Corporation does not have members (which is different than the church having members) and all of the directors are dead, you may have to go to court to have a new Board of Directors appointed. The first step is to review the articles of incorporation and bylaws. Consider also who has signature authority on the bank accounts.
