Legal Question in Business Law in California

Can a hotel business prohibit a taxi company from coming on the property for the sole purpose of picking up a passenger that called from the hotel for a taxi. The hotel rents office space to another taxi co. and they are allowed to pick up, but all other taxi companies have been asked to stay off the property.

The hotel's premises are private property. Management can exclude anyone it chooses as long as it does so legally. I know of no law that forbids it to allow only one taxi company onto its property.

Check with your local agency that regulates cabs at that location. There may be some local prohibitions against that practice. Otherwise, however, you're out of luck.
