Legal Question in Business Law in California

iam a cashier in a market a customer cut in front of the line and i refused to check him out he got mad yelled at me swear at me cursed my mom yelling but i did not yell at him just told him what he did was not nice.do i have the right to refuse to check him out if he came to my register or my boss has the right to terminate me from work.help please

Whether to check out that customer was a business decision, not a legal one. The law would support you either way. But when you refused to obey your superior's legitimate instructions you gave him cause to fire you. That you disagreed with his decision does not mean you were allowed to disregard it.

In CA you are an 'at will' employee that can be fired any time for any reason, unless protected by the Civil Rifhts or Whistle-blower laws. Neither appears to apply to you, leaving you no legal remedy, other than apply for unemployment and look for a new job.
