Legal Question in Business Law in California

Incorporation in Nevada and legal name change

Hello,

I would like to change my name for artistic purposes and also

incorporate my business in Nevada.

I moved from Texas to California over a year ago and have not done

anything to officially become a California resident. My Drivers license

and taxes and related official documents are still Texas based.

I plan on traveling worldwide for most of my life as a musician and

California would be my primary base when not travelling.

I would like to change my residence and my name in a way that best

suits my business interests. But for the time being, I plan on staying in

California.

My question is what is the best order of steps to take considering what I

want?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks -Greg

You may not need to change your name if you merely want to use a "stage name." For residence change, you only need to reside in California for six months to be deemed a resident. For assitance in incorporating in Nevada, call me directly at (619) 222-3504.

The best order of steps is to find an attorney in your area that deals in business organizations and taxes.

Re: Incorporation in Nevada and legal name change

I would recommend that you legally change your name first, but if you are in a hurry you can change your name and incorporate your business at the same time.

Good luck and thank you for your inquiry.

Re: Incorporation in Nevada and legal name change

The first step in it is get your self eight good antennae and medially well versed in taxes/business law. Then you explain what you wanted to, you up ultimate goals in your current status. When he/she thereafter advise you. I understand that in the situation I would anticipate substantial continuous changes in your life, lifestyle, as well as designers. Therefore, the original plan will probably have to have the plan B., C, D., E etc. ---- I am in the San Francisco Bay Area and if you wish to consult with me I am at 925 -- 945 -- 6000

Re: Incorporation in Nevada and legal name change

Do the name change first so that you can become officer shareholder in your company under that name. As to where to incorporate many variables tax, local and state financial support etc.
