Is it legal to collect freely accessible info about US companies (phone, email, headquarters, CEO name) from their websites, linkedin profiles, yp.com etc. and then sell like whole database to third party?

There's nothing illegal about doing what you describe, but it's possible to do it in illegal ways. You should consult with a competent attorney as soon as you can. Preventing legal problems is almost always much cheaper and easier than dealing with them once they arise.
