Legal Question in Business Law in California

Legal Rights When Purchasing A Vehicle

I purchased a 1998 nissan 2 days ago and the oil tank

is leaking. We were told it went thru the 50? point

inspection and was ready to be sold. There was only

2800 on the odometer. Do we have the right to see

the inspection report that was done on it? What

can I do? We have the manufacture warranty on it.

I don't think they did the inspection, we found other

problems too. Thank You

Re: Legal Rights When Purchasing A Vehicle

If it is still under warranty I would go in and have the vehicle fixed. If you want to return the car you may be able to under the lemon law. You can request a copy of the inspection report, but I don't know how it would help you unless you wanted to return the car. If you do want to cancel the deal don't tell them until you receive a copy of the inspection report or they may falsify records. If you would like to cancel the deal I would need to speak with you in order to determine how to go about it legally. I do not feel comfortable giving you any advice in that area without additional information. My toll free number is 877-546-9918. The consultation is free. If I don't hear from you I will assume everything went well.

Sincerely,

John Hayes
