operating silk screen print machine at home
we have home based business and we had contractors who manufactured our apparel products. we are thinking to purchase a silk screen printing machine and operate in our garage. We do have manufacturer's license. Is it illegal operating a machine at home ?

Probably, on a least two counts. It will probably be a violation of the city/county zoning regulations. Second, it will also violate Air Quality Management District requirements regarding chemical vapors released into the atmosphere. Also, you will need a business license which may give you away to the authorities about the other two issues. Doing business out a residence is always risky.
