You can "get into trouble" walking across the street with the green light, so no lawyer is going to tell you nothing bad can happen to you. On the other hand, your proposed work does not seem to violate any patent, trademark, copyright or trade secret rights. Following a practice that seems to have started in the "high tech" business, I think you might want to identify the owners of trademarks in footnotes, e.g., "'Windows' is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation." Your publisher's law department will give you further advice pre-publication.
