Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I am not sure what area of law this falls under but I need to know if I can file a lawsuit against someone or a restraining order against someone if I have told them 3 times now VIA e-mail to not contact me again and yet they do it anyways? They also told me I am threatening them which I have not done in the least and they threatened me and said they contacted the FBI in regards to the matter. I am pregnant and the stress I feel will cause me to miscarry and if I do because of this will I also have a lawsuit against this person because technically this is murder?

There is a way to obtain a restraining order against someone who is harassing you.

The California courts have published information on the web as to how someone can obtain a restraining order. You can find that information at http://www.courts.ca.gov/1278.htm

Note that there is a special procedure to be used when the other party is a family member, or someone you have lived with or dated. In this case, the order is obtained from the family law court, and is called a "domestic violence restraining order." You can find information on this type of order at http://www.courts.ca.gov/selfhelp-domesticviolence.htm

Best of luck to you.
