Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Felony Conviction

I have been convicted of a felony can I run for public office in California? And if not is there a way to restore my civil rights so I can be eligible to run?

Re: Felony Conviction

You are eligible to run now, but your conviction will be the topic of discussion. It may be possible to get it expunged and off your record under some circumstances if you did not do state prison time. Contact me if interested in discussing procedure and cost.
