Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

My mom cosigned on a truck for me in California I was in an at fault accident if I get sued can my mom get sued too if their medical bills exceed my $25,000 policy limit? My auto insurance already said they would not issue any payment until the plaintiff signs a liability release form releasing me of any further liability. If I tell the plaintiffs attorney I'll just file bankruptcy if they sue me instead of my auto insurance, what will they usually say? I am 26 years old and both our names are on the title. I am the main driver and my mom has NOT negligently entrusted me with my truck.
