Re: Revealing settlement agreement

The terms of the agreement determine the rights and remedies of the parties. The agreement must be reviewed along with the lawsuit. Those agreements are common, and can be enforceable, depending upon how it was written. Whatever factual, contractual or legal defenses you have will be raised in your Answer or Motions filed in the case. You need to promptly consult with counsel to determine what are your defenses. If you don't timely respond to the suit, you risk a default judgment. If serious about getting legal representation in this, and if the case is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. I've been doing such litigation for more than 35 years.
