Security Guard saw crime and did nothing

Can a Security Guard and/or Security Comapny be sued civially? Sec. Guard saw my vehicle being broken into while legally parked in parking structure and did nothing to detain, question, notify police, etc. subjects during the 5-10 mins. they were inside my vehicle cutting wires to stereo system (speakers, amplifier) worth approx. $1,500.00. Anything I can persue legally to recoup my loss?

Sure, if they undertook the duty to protect your car from theft and they failed to do so, you can sue them. This sounds like it would be a good small claims matter.
