Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Computer Company Internet Store Pricing

I recently was looking for an LCD monitor on the internet and found out that one company mistakenly placed a $1 price tag on a LCD monitor. Is there any laws in effect that state that this company must agree to the price listed on their site. The web site took my credit card info and I received a confirmation number and everything. Also, can I order more than one item from this company? I sent a feedback email informing them of their mistake and asked if they were still going to honor this purchase that I conducted online. I am still waiting for a response from them.

Re: Computer Company Internet Store Pricing

Generally, advertising is not an offer that can be accepted by someone. It is an invitation for a buyer to make an offer to purchase, which can be accepted or rejected by the advertiser. They probably will not need to honor the order.
