Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Computer online game

There is this game call Conqueronline which i been playing for a few year. There a player that exploit the game and allow him to send out a certain code to other player that give them pop-up(porno and a some other link trying to scam other innocent player account info) and also load other program on the computer(CMD) without the user consent. Some paying players have already been scam by the fake site that the program load and lost their game item which they use money to make. The first time those fake website appear, i email the company about it and i got nothing in reply. They didnt fix it either. This time, that player did it again. I wrote to them my second email and ask other player who got effect by this to write them email but we havent got any reply yet.

My question is.. Is it legal for the company to not do anything and let that player to load and run script on innoncent player that give pop up of porno site and fake company site on their computer? Their are minor in this game also. Also is it legal for that player to do that? Are there any legal action i can take to stop this?

Try calling your local police department. Many, including where I'm located, have specialized divisions dealing exclusively with identity theft and other forms of computer frauds. If they don't take on this kind of thing locally (which I suspect they will not), they should at least route this complaint appropriately. Kudos for your diligence and concern for others.
