Legal Question in Technology Law in California

defamation on a blog

I made a post on an internet blog. I posted using another person name. The post was what I would call a parody of the person. The person is upset and trying to find out who made the post. The blog owner may help him track me down. If they do track it to me I think the person will file suit. What do I need to do to be prepared? Also, the person is in another state, WA.

Have homeowners' or renters' insurance.

Quit posting under assumed names. Your internet postings are very easily traced.
