Legal Question in Technology Law in California

E-mail harassment

I am being harassed via e-mail and telephone by my mother and stepfather at my place of employment. What if any legal actions can I persue to prevent the further harassment and contact. Also there have been several nonfactual statements made and I would like to know what steps I can persue to persue deformation of character or slander charges and all related damages.

Re: E-mail harassment

depending on what the statements are you can sue for defamation. you can also ask for a court injunction. you might also call the police and see if their actions fall under the new stalking laws.
