Online Gambling
I am just wondering if online gaming is actually illegal. I placed a sports bet
online without even thinking about it being illegal, but then came to realize that
it might be. All of the research I do is completely inconclusive on this topic and
was hoping to get some feedback. I just don't want to get in trouble for
something I thought was perfectly innocent at the time.

There is nothing inherently illegal about online gaming, but whether a particular instance of it is legal depends upon the laws where the user is located as well as those where the company and/or server is located. It may be perfectly legal for a gambler in State A to place bets on a site in Country X, but illegal for a gambler in State B to do the same thing.
