Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California

16 yr old dating

My daughter is 16. She has been having a phone relationship with a 21 year old. That I totally disagree with. Ive told her why I feel its not right but she dosent ''understand'' why I tell her why I feel the way I do. Shes really hurt by my decision and i dont know what else to tell her maybe if there was something i could show her in the law she will understand better. i feel its morally wrong.

There is no law against what your daughter is doing. Even seeing her beau in person would be legal. The law forbids them to have sexual contact and it would be a crime for the man to try to arrange a sexual encounter if he knows your daughter's age, but a "phone relationship" does not violate any laws I can think of.
