Carrying I.D. when riding a bike?

Does a person have to have a valid identification card on them at all times? Like when you go jogging or bike riding. Can the police pull someone over for riding on the sidewalk and then take them to jail for no I.D. even though they ran the name given and everything fit?

Also in that situation can a male officer search a female by putting his hands in her pockets of her jeans?

What happened to our fourth amendment Right, here in CA it seems to be missing.

You�re not required by law to carry ID with you, unless of course you�re operating the vehicle. You do not have to carry ID to ride a bicycle. Under most circumstances you do have to identify yourself to a police officer when asked, but this can be done verbally. Other than identifying yourself, you are not required to make any other statements of any kind. You�re not required answer any other questions. Do not lie about your identity because that is a crime.
