Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California

I'm currently a legal studies major in the graduate arena. I'm working towards completing my first year. My question is, would a court reporter be a viable alternative to work my way into professorship. Attentively, the goal would lead up to becoming an ajunct professor. Your feedback would be appreciated.

A professorship of what, of law? Or of journalism? And what is a "legal studies major in the graduate arena -- are you in law school getting your J.D.?

If you want to be a law professor, you have to have a J.D. from a very good law school (Ivy League preferred), pass the bar and become a lawyer, clerk for federal judges, and write a lot of law articles, before you're even considered. If you want to be a professor of journalism, well then get a journalism degree first and work as a reporter.
