Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California

Rights of a 3rd Party in a Parolee Search

Thank you for your response. My son, at nearly 21, committed burglary when he lived independently from us. He had never been in trouble before this incident, and has not been in trouble since. There was no weapon involved, nor did he actually receive anything. It was a stupid, immature act. He served his time, 1 1/2 yrs, and we are attempting to help him rebuild his life by allowing him to live with us.

The fact the police stayed at our hm 1 1/2 hrs when he wasn't hm, searched uncommon areas. answered our phone seems like harassment to me. I plan to pursue this, not necessarily for monetary gain as for principle. YES it is important to me that my 4th amendment rights are upheld. The police did not have the right to use my uncommon area toilet (we have a total of 4 bathrooms!) when there were others in clear common areas! So if only to scream to DOJ, ACLU and others, principle for me is everything. Thank you again for your response.
