Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California

I want to set up a legal enviromental protest?

I want to set up a protest for the use of the gasoline additive MTBE. Me and about 20 other people plan on organizing a sit out type rally blocking off the entrance to two gasoline stations. I'm pretty sure that being on the station's property is against the law so we plan on being on the sidewalk. We want to do this without any disturbance from the police. What are the procedures to be taken.

You cannot block access to the gas station. You cannot go on their property. you can picket, pass out flyers, give speaches, ask people not to buy gas there but if you block anyone from entering the station you will go to jail.
