Legal Question in Construction Law in California

response to a summons

I would like some help in the type of forms to respond to a summons of a civil suit that a construction companyserved on me. Is it answer on pleading paper or are there court forms? can I pespond on pleadig paper on cross complaint or does the cross complaint form have to be attached? i just need to know if I can address all of this on pleading paper?

You can either answer on pleading paper or fill out a judicial council form. JCF's include forms for answers, cross complaints and general denials. They're available online.
