Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Used Auto Dealership

I went to a dealership that sells used auto. They said they'd be able to help me get a car being financed. I agree, paid deposit, took the car home and thought all is well. 5 days later, I get a letter in the mail that states the car is being financed by the dealer, not a financial instution. I told them I was under the assumption it was being financed by someone bank or instution, thus helping me raise my credit. They said no.

I told them since it hasn't even been 10 days, I want to cancel the contract, return the car, and get my downpayment back. They said no and I HAVE to keep the car, and continue with the contract. Can I cancel?
