Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
fraud sales
I am writing a fraud sales by Reed Construction Data Inc.
I was interested about their bulletin subscription. I got a call from a sales person name ''William Sutton'' persuading to subscribe their internet service pricing $5000/year, compare to $1200/year for the bulletin. That was on 4/25/03 Friday about 5PM(PT).
When I talked to the sales person, I wasn't sure about subscribing any of those. However, the sales person assured me just sign the contract paper and fax it back to him. He told me that I can cancel the following week if I don't want to. He even whispered me that he is trying to make it count since that was Friday.
I called him on 5/1/03 to cancel it, then he told me again to try before I pay. My payment was due on 5/30/03. I was deceived again when I call him on 5/19/03. He and his supervisor ''Alphie'' knocked me down saying it's not cancellable.
I sent them a calcellation letter by fax, but it is still on. I don't know what to do.
Please help me out.
Thanks.
They have internet service called ''CMD connect''.

Need to look at the contract.
Re: fraud sales
if you can email me directly letting me know if there was in fact a cancellation clause in your written agreement with this company, what the clause states if there was one, and/or how you were induced by the sales rep to sign the agreement absent a cancellation clause in writing on the agreement, and i may be able to further assist you legally in this matter.
