Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

glass in pasta sauce

I was trying to make a quick easy dinner tonight for my family. After preparing a dish, I tasted it and added some spices and tasted again. Then I added some shredded romano cheese and tasted it again. I got some bowls for my children, and in stirring the pot up, I came across a LARGE (maybe 2 inches by 2 inches) piece of glass. I immediately checked both bottles of pasta sauce that I used, and they were intact.

I'm so distraught that my children or husband could have eaten this or any other pieces that may be hidden in my pasta mixture now. I've had to go run out and get some food for my family to serve for dinner. I've also been kind of freaking out that I may have ingested some glass. I will probably call my doctor after this and ask him what I should do.

I have already contacted the store that sold me the product and asked them to remove it from their shelves.

Anything else I should do?!

Re: glass in pasta sauce

i am so sorry you and your family had to go thru such a traumatic experience by just just to prepare dinner. you absolutely are doing the right thing to contact the store to put them on notice of their defective product, as well as making appointments to see your doctor ASAP to make sure none of you ingested the glass.

if you are interested in pursuing this matter legally, i am more than happy to further assist you in your products liability claim against the store that sold you the product as well as the manufacturing chain that provided the store with the defective product. email me today with any additional information you have, especially if your family was harmed by the glass in any way and i would consider it a pleasure to try to further assist you legally with your case.
