Prematurely cancelling alarm system contracts
I recently moved residences and cancelled an annual alarm system contract 3 months prematurely. The alarm company says I need to pay for the last 3 months of service. It doesn't seem right that I have to pay them for a service at a house I no longer own. How can I get out of paying the terms of the contract that didn't have a household moving clause. I paid them for 6 years and isn't that enough?

If you had a written contract, then you are obliged to honor its terms.
