Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Product warranty when not bought through authorize dealer?

I have been told that if I buy a particular brand of sewing machine through the internet from a business in Nevada that is not an authorised dealer from the brand company, but still buys pruduct from them but sells at discounted prices that the manufacturer will void the warranty, need to know if a manufacturer can do that, the only reason would be to keep the prices at more than double, can this be true? Product is brand new and in original unopened box.

Thank you.

The manufacturer is not obligated to provide a warranty. If they do provide one, they can basically provided under any conditions they want.
