What is the reasoning behind louisiana not using ucc article 2

Louisiana is a very strange legal environment. It is the only state that operates under the Napoleonic Code as the foundation of its legal system, instead of the English Common Law system. As with any Uniform Code, however, nothing forces any state to use the UCC. It is ultimately up to the legislature of each state to adopt it as drafted, adopt it with modifications, or not adopt it at all or only in part. So you would have to ask the Louisiana Legislature why they have not adopted UCC Article 2.
