rights for used car buyers

we bought a car today august 18, 2001, by the time we drove it home my husband found several problems that the test drive did not show, we bought it from an individual do we have a grace period to return it and if so how long?

It sounds like you purchased a used vehicle from a private party. If that is correct, then you have no "grace" period to return the vehicle. If the seller refuses to return your money and take the vehicle back, the only thing you can do is sue the seller, and hope that a judge will undo the transaction.
