Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I signed a contract for almost $10,000.with Bath Fitters to install a walk-in shower in my master bath. The designer who came to my house and drew up the contract said it would be about 2 weeks to order the parts. I gave them a 10% deposit. It has been a month & I have received no e-mails or phone calls from this company. I called the office today and the woman said she would research the situation and she never called me back. Is there any way I can get out of the contract with these people? i can't take a bath without this shower.

Have a lawyer write to them. They might then pay attention. Also, if you paid by credit card, dispute the credit card charge with the provider. Also, you might contact the Better Business Bureau. As a last resort, you could file a small claims lawsuit if you get no satisfaction.
