Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

vehicle fraud

bought used car from car dealership ''as is'' on 6.26.04. took it to 2 repair shopswithin next 3 weeks. both shops claimed the car is suspicious. hinting at odometer fraud. i could not see some of the problems with the car because they are electrical. actual odometer (85,557 mi)reads less miles than the amount of miles posted on sellers inofrmation sheet. (85,830 mi) leaks not clearly visible. assumed car did not have any defects. can i recover the cost of repairs or return the car for a refund. lemon law does not apply? what are my options?

Re: vehicle fraud

You -assumed- the used car you bought didn't have any defects??!? Fortunately for you, it is against federal law to turn back the odometer. Take the dealer to small claims court, assuming you paid $5000 or less for the car. Also, next time get a Carfax report before buying any used car.
