Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

1) I already have a garnishment against me going on now but can I get another one from another company the same time.

2) Can I get served twice from the same company?

1. Yes. The second company does not necessarily know that your wages are already being garnished by another. However, they might not get much because there are federal and stat limits as to how much of a person's paycheck can be garnished.

2. You would have to explain what happened. Maybe they served you the first time but discovered themselves that it was defective service so they're serving you a second time. Maybe they're serving you a different document the second time in the same proceedings, but that also has a personal service requirement.
