Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Abstract of judgement

Hi

2001 unpaid American Express Account of approx $11, 000

2003 Judgement entered by Eskanos & Adler, Judgement updated with Interest of approx $8000 in 2006, couldnt get them to settle. Bank acct seized for $2000 in 2007.

Today a new Firm Winn Law Firm, sends a copy of an Abstract judgement for $14000, Is this in addition to the standing judgement done by Eskanos or does one replace the other?

How do you settle these things, this is an old one ? Should I call the new firm ? What happens to the other judgement? I lease a car can they take that?

Re: Abstract of judgement

I have defended suits brought against consumers by Winn Law Firm. Please feel free to contact me to discuss further. It's hard to say where the 14,000 amount comes in, but with a review of everything we should be able to get to the bottom of it. Sometimes they buy these debts, other times you may have a judgment out there you didn't even know about.

Warmly,

Bryan
