Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Hello I applied for a loan they said to secure the loan they needed a security deposit which I western unions twice then they called me days later stating that the lender they found for me backed out of the agreement and that they have filed a law suit against that company but couldn't refund my 1824.00 until 3 weeks and that's if they get the money back from the original lender...now I'm I'm in worse mess than before I knew I should have gone with my gut and not paid anything upfront now this company isn't returning my calls or emails and I'm out the entire amount what should I do??

I'm sorry to hear of this situation. Unfortunately, there is no quick remedy.

Your only relief will come by way of a lawsuit. If the amount in question is only $1824.00, then your claim is likely in small claims court. If many people have been defrauded, there may be a larger claim -- but that will require a lawyerr.

A lawsuit, moreover, means that you need to be able to find the defendant and be able to collect the judgment. This may be difficult.
