Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Authorized user for credit card

I was issued a company credit card as an authorized user. My name was on the credit card but my credit was not run in order to get this card. It was part of the job. Anyone at the company who worked in certain department received the card. The company has now gone out of business. The credit card company has come after me and put this on my credit report. I have never had any direct communication with the credit card company, US Bank, but have been making small payments each month. I was only an authorized user so why is this on my credit report showing closed account, charged off when in fact I have been making payments to them. Never missed. I know the bank wants a bigger payment each month but I am unable to make a larger payment. How should I go about disputing this?

Thanks.

Re: Authorized user for credit card

Why were you making payments? Were you part of the company? I would need some more facts, but it would appear that the CC company is trying to collect from the wrong party.
