Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Credit card co. harassment

In Dec. of 2003 my wife and I refinanced our home. This was done to consolidate and pay off credit cards. All credit card co. were contacted and a pay off amount was reached. All the credit card co. accepeted and cashed there checkes. NOW I am being harassed by citi bank for more money. They have been asked repeatedly not to call any more, but they still call demanding money. I was told to refer them to the co. that handled the pay off, but they still call and harass me. con I do anything?

WELL I GUESS IM JUST A SIMPLE PERSON, BUT I UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION.IF I WAS IN LAW OR KNEW ABOUT LAW, I WOULD NOT NEED YOU WOOD I?

And they cashed their check? And you have the check? Have you told them? You need to pay a lawyer to send a few mean letters and then you sue them for harassment. You may contact me.

There must be a problem with the the agreement you made to pay them off or they just did not reflect it in your account. You need to get the phone and follow up with them. It will take some time but it will resolve the issue. Furthermore, calling you alone is not harrassment, unless they do it at odd hours or are nasty to you. However, if you ask them not to call you they must not.
