Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Credit cards

My credit card company is asking me to send them a form called 4506T from the IRS web site for them to get my tax return from IRS. I don’t have any past due amount or any default on my cards. I need to know if I can legally refuse to do that or this is something that I am obligated to do.

Thanks

Re: Credit cards

I have never had a credit card company ask for my income tax return. In fact, income tax returns are private. If you are uncomfortable, don't do it. They might cancel you, but good riddance! Find a credit card company that doesn't require this.
