Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Creditors and property

I am soon going to be paying off a vehicle that is in my name. I have a few creditors and am wondering if once that vehicle is under my name (instead of bank), can my creditors take ownership for the debt? I have not filed any sort of bankruptcy.
