Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Customer threatening us after we sent him to collections
We sent a customer to collections and he now is threatening to send letters to our executives complaining about the bad service etc.

How should one respond to a person like this?

Call his bluff and sue him for nonpayment.
