debt charged in my name

My husband went to the dentist and owes a bill. They told me I was responsible because he was my husband. Is that the truth?

No. Ask them for the a copy of the file including all agreements entered before services were rendered. I doubt they give them to you as they should be protected as confidential. Even if they did, you cannot be liable unless you agreed to accept liability. If your signature is not on the agreement, ask them to stop calling you.

No, not until they get a judgment. Then community property can be taken.
