I am a debtor, I have been asked to appear at a debtor exam, i will be out of town on the day that i am supposed to appear, can i have it postponed?

You might want to contact the judgment creditor's attorney as far in advance as possible and provide the attorney with your reason for not appearing, and agree on a new date.
