Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Good Morning. I was served with a summons by a lawyer of a debt collection agency in November. I prepared a legal written response and filed it with the court and then Certified mailed it to the lawyer. About a week ago, I received a change of address form for the lawyer of the plaintiff. My question is, do I need to resend another copy of the written legal response? Thank you.

If the post office hasn't returned it, then you might assume that the lawyer has or will receive it. Doubly important is that you filed it with the court. That protects you from a default. In the future, there is no need to certify mail documents that you wish to serve. First class U.S. mail is acceptable.

No, just make sure all future mailings go to the attorney's new address.
