Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I Have a Hearing But I'm Leaving...

the credit card company sued me for not paying them back 'coz of my financial diffculty, they summoned me, now I have to apear in court, my question is, my Aunt is sending me to college in another country for longer period of time, am I allowed to leave the counrty without taking care of this situation? or is that going to delay my school? please help....

You can have an attorney appear for you. In some cases, a declaration in support of your testimony can be used.
