Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Hello,

I got a loan with a significant other (both of us were the borrowers and both names were on the loan) and between then and now the relationship ended. We were both making monthly payments on the loan until last month when she took the liberty to pay off the rest of the loan without my knowledge or consent, and now expects me to continue to pay her. Even though I'm still morally obligated to finish paying the loan, am I legally obligated to pay her another cent seeing my debt on the original loan with the lender is now considerded payed?
